Privacy Policy

The plain-English version: Avocado Toast is anonymous by design. We don’t ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the app, we don’t track your precise location, and we don’t sell your personal information. What little we handle is described below.

1. Who we are

Avocado Toast is operated by Selleck Ventures LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (“we,” “us”). This policy covers the Avocado Toast mobile app and the website getavocadotoast.com. Questions? Email [email protected].

2. What we collect

The app is built to know as little about you as possible. Here is the full list:

An anonymous identifier. When you first open the app, your device is assigned a random identifier and a generated handle (something like SaltyEscrow_42). This lets your comments and likes stay consistent without us knowing who you are. It is not linked to your name, email, or phone number.
Content you post. Comments, likes and dislikes, and reports you submit are stored along with your anonymous identifier so the community features work.
Basic technical data. Standard diagnostics such as device type, app version, and crash logs, used only to keep the app working.
Anything you send us directly. If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it to reply, and for nothing else.

3. What we don’t collect

No account, real name, email, or phone number is required to use the app.
We do not collect your precise GPS location. Browsing homes on the map does not report your location to us.
We do not access your contacts, photos, or files.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t plan to start.

4. Services we rely on

A few third-party services help run the app, and each receives only what it needs:

Google Firebase — stores comments and community content and provides anonymous sign-in. Firebase processes the anonymous identifier described above.
Google Maps / Street View — provides the exterior photos and map imagery shown for listings. Image requests go to Google under their privacy policy.
Listing data providers — home listing details (prices, days on market, history) come from licensed real-estate data sources. They send us data about homes, not about you.
Apple App Store — handles app distribution under Apple’s own privacy terms.

5. Advertising

The app may show clearly labeled sponsored content. If we serve ads through an ad network (such as Google AdMob), the network may process device-level identifiers to show and measure ads. On iOS we honor Apple’s App Tracking Transparency: we will not track you across other companies’ apps or websites without your permission, and saying no changes nothing about how the app works.

6. How long we keep things

Comments and community content remain until removed by you, by our moderation, or by the community reporting process. Diagnostics are kept only as long as they are useful. If you want content associated with your device removed, email [email protected] from the app or with a description of the content, and we’ll take care of it.

7. Children

Avocado Toast is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because we hold so little, the honest answer is there’s usually nothing to look up — but email us and we’ll do whatever the data allows. We respond to all requests at [email protected].

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above and, for meaningful changes, say so in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
